Hello everyone I’m the Sorting Hat,
And welcome to our school,
I shall tell you about our founders,
That once each sought to rule.

Noble Helga Hufflepuff,
How loyal was she,
Not the bravest nor the boldest,
But loved by many, you see.

Sharp witted Rowena Ravenclaw,
Intelligence she cherished,
Best friends with the loyal Hufflepuff,
But soon their friendship perished.

Cunning Salazar Slytherin,
Had not many good deeds to his name,
Though he was quick and clever,
He mostly cared about your ancestory and fame.

Daring Godric Gryffindor,
Was braver than any man,
Bold and strong was he,
And soon with the others formulated a plan.

Four Houses were created,
Many students to be Sorted,
So therefore I was formulated,
To make the Sorting more ordered

So now here I am today,
I’ve seen all that we can win,
Now that’s all you’ve heard enough,
Let the Sorting now begin.
