A Reason to Celebrate
"Oh, ANOTHER one Alice?"
Neville's grandmother groaned as his mother placed another gum wrapper in his hand, clapping with excitement once he took it from her with a grin.
"I swear, your mum has the worst sweet tooth I've ever seen...the number of pieces she goes through every time we're here is amazing, unbelieveable..."
Neville had tuned her out long ago, however, and the third year boy pocketed the wrapper in his robes. "Thanks Mum," he said as they turned to leave.
That wrapper was number 100 in his collection. And that, to him, was a reason to celebrate.
