I just wanted to introduce myself!" said Katy cheerfully, "I'm sure you're rather busy, with just being elected and all, so I'll leave you be. But if you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask, I really look forward to working with you!"

As she finished her speech, which she had rehearsed several times before arriving at the office due to her nervousness, she took one step backward, waiting to see what the Minister had to say to her in return. First impressions were everything...she hoped she did her's justice.
