An Empty World
Sara ran away to the seventh floor. She slowed down right in front of the place which Ginny once told her was the Room of Requirement. She leaned on to the wall opposite to where the Room of Requirement was assumed to be there. She panted and it was becoming difficult for her to breathe as the tears were chocking her and so was she falling short of air to breathe. She tried to calm down and closed her eyes. She wanted a place where no one could see her. She then remembered how Ginny and she got in to the Room of Requirements. She stood up and walked towards the blank wall and walked past it 3 times saying ‘I want a place where no one can find me’. She repeated it thrice and then a door appeared in front of her. She held the knob and turned it and entered the room.
It was just what she wanted. It was like going back to her old school’s common room. There was a long study table and chair of sorts and a window near by from where she could see outside of the castle. There was an arm chair right near the window. She slowly walked towards the window. She was sort of scared to be alone. She was suddenly feeling all the more lonely then ever. She felt as if she had no one left to stay with her. She slowly walked towards the window. As she walked towards the window she thought she saw Rahul leaning on the window sill with his hands across his chest and smiling at her. Later as her eyes darted towards the arm chair she saw Aussie turn from the arm chair and smile at her. For that particular moment she felt that she was back, back to her old school where the three of them many times would stand by the window. Sara always loved sitting on the sill while Rahul stood there and Aussie would drag up an arm chair and sit and look out of the window into the sky. She slowly walked to the window sill where she imagined Rahul was standing there waiting for her. She reached the window sill and extended her hand to touch what seemed like her friend’s face but was only empty space. As soon as she happen to touch him he vanished, the bubble of her imagination of him being there with her burst with a pop. She hung her head low and silent tears began to fall yet again. But her imagination was still getting on her. She felt that Aussie was still there and was watching her. She turned to him. He was still sitting there on the arm chair. She walked up to him. He had a small smile which brightened her up slightly through her blinding tears. She kneeled down next to his chair and went ahead to touch his arm which was resting on the arm rest he too disappeared. She felt miserable again.
Tears were taking real good on her. It was like a tempest. She sat down on the ground near the arm chair. She cried and cried with her face in her hands and wished that she was back in her own school along with her brother and her dad and none of these events have actually ever happened. She wished that her friends were still with her and had not left her. After sometime she stopped crying. She could hear the early morning birds twittering and chirping. She looked out of the window and saw the rays of sun falling on the tress of the Forbidden Forest. She was awake till the soft warm winter sun had spread his rays all over the Forbidden Forest and then exhaustion took over her and along with that so did sleep. Her head rested on the chair and she soon fell asleep…
have a nice day...and do comment...:-)
