"Don't use your wands! Magical creatures don't really like that, remember?" he asked. He was certain that THEY wouldn't like it, and he was not being turned into a giant marshmallow on the edge of the Merman's spear because someone started blasting them.

"I--I think they want to see the Headmaster," he muttered. "Bontecou?" he asked the Merpeople, hoping they might understand what they name meant.

And if someone happened to come along who spoke Mermish as well that would be GREAT.
