68. Roar

“What was that?” one of the students asked, interrupting Rowena mid-sentence.

“What was what?” she demanded sharply, irritated at the boy’s rudeness.

“That!” Another second-year girl exclaimed fearfully, and started off the wave of fear which rushed through her classmates.

“What?”

“I heard it too!”

“It’s a troll!”

“Calm down!” Rowena yelled above the noise. In the second-long pause following her order, she too heard a roar. However, she was not at all worried.

“It is nothing to fear, The Defence Against the Dark Arts class is studying Boggarts, it probably turned into a dragon this time. Where was I?”
