Hearing his name being mentioned, Jake's head snapped up to the professor. He had, of course, missed what she had said entirely, but nodded any, eyes glazing over as he became distracted by his ~~mega-awesome rainbow~~ shoes. But then there was an unfamiliar noise which startled him, and he twitched an almighty twitch before regarding the stable doors with an expression somewhere between interest and GET-ME-OUTTA-HERE-NOW kind of thing.

It hadn't even been LOUD. Just... odd.
