Lars did not often wear a watch. He far preferred to guess what time it was, or ask someone nearby. But for special occasions such as this party he was walking toward, he liked to wear a navy hat and suit like a train conductor. And his outfit wouldn't be complete without a pocketwatch secured on a chain. After all, wasn't it in the habit of train conductors to pull out their pocket watches, glance at the time, and yell 'All Aboard!'?
Hmm. Maybe there would be a train to examine at the garden party.
Knowing Professor Bunbury, Professor Svensson thought it was more likely that a shopping center would have suddenly appeared. That idea nearly made Svensson turn around and return to his office, but then he remembered that the party was in the garden. Bunbury's plants were in the garden, right? She would never squash them to temporarily add stores for a party. There was nothing to be afraid of!
