Marcus smirked as he passed the kid who just fell on his butt and he paused for a moment. "A good way of getting hurt, is being distracted." He lent forward and spoke in a low voice. "I know it's hard when pretty girls are around but please try it could be the difference between life and death." He gave the kid a pat on the shoulder and moved over to the Gryffindor girl.



"Well of course your wand hand should be out and raised preferably with your wand in it. What you do with your other hand is entirely up to you. Do whatever makes you feel comfortable." He nodded and then moved back to the front of the class.

"Okay so now that you have practiced your stances let's move on." Marcus paused for a moment as he looked out over the students. "Right now I have watched a few of you in the dueling arena and I have found that a lot of you will cast a spell at your opponent without actually knowing what that spell is going to do. So for the next part of the lesson we are going to feel the effects of what some spells can do."

He turned to Caroline and gestured for her to come to the front. "Now to demonstrate, Miss Avalon is going to be casting a few hexes and whatnot at me, so that you can all see what they can do to a person." Marcus let out a long breath, he had to be insane to do this.
