"And perhaps you should take something for that throat of yours... Merlin, for a moment I almost thought an old hag had sat down behind me..." Then I realized that it WAS a hag! HA!
Hehehee snuggles. Annie turned back toward the game and grinned to herself. Marcus was good at this playing-along thing.... very good at it. Perhaps he should have pursued a stage career instead of just the rock star one.
"I'd like that. I do need to buy some as well - to celebrate the return of Gingersnapple and all." Right, because women had to justify buying chocolates for themselves. The potential calorie nightmare could be blamed on the cat, why not.
Anastasia clapped slightly for Hufflepuff, hoping they'd get the next snitch, but her mind happened to be elsewhere at the moment. "How could I forget," she murmured back, glancing down at her hands and then out toward the game again. Must not let the tart intern hear them... she probably had a PDA badge stored somewhere on her hideous person.
A small groan escaped his lips when Annie, made a retort at Caroline. He had absolutely no idea why these two didn't like each other. Actually come to think of it, Anastasia didn't get on with Less either. Did she get on with any of the female staff?
"Maybe we can go down after the game? That is of course if you are not busy?" His voice was still casual but there was a little bit of hopeful excitement there as well. Then if they stayed long enough they could extend it to dinner as well.
Marcus smiled a very happy smile that she remembered their times together and he was tempted to nuzzle her hair again but Caroline was glaring at them and there was of course the students. Instead he caught her hair in his fingers and lightly stroked it. "I remember lots of things about those days" he murmured. Both the good and the bad but right now he simply focused on the good.

"Isn't that a bit ironic coming from a woman who is quite possibly the image of Dolores Umbridge a only year or so before middle age?" she shot back.
Oh that would hurt. Umbridge was long buried but she... had made a name for herself. And even as a child no one wanted to be compared to her. But the reference was plausible. The obsession with pink. And her cat. And her swift cruel justice toward students. Cari strongly suspected Anastasia Bunbury hated students in a similar way as Umbridge.
But the bickering, however satisfying, was pointless. She had an actual purpose for being there. "Actually there is," she said placing her hands on her hips and staring down at them accusingly. "I need a word with you, about a student that just wandered into my hospital without his right hand."
He groaned again when Caroline fired back at Annie and he wanted to shrink down in his seat. Why could women not get on with each other? You would never see him and Zan acting like this. They had been through much together and yet they still remained friends.
Marcus, sat up a little straighter but still kept his arm around Annie and gazed at Caroline. "And what does that have to do with me Miss Avalon?" He was the DADA professor, not a Healer and although he could mend minor injuries he had no idea what a student's injury had to do with him.
