"Don't rule out the possiblity of looking though will you? I'd love for you to find living family, even if you don't approach them..."
Nodding her head at the words, she turned her attention back to the view as the conversation lulled and the birds overhead cawed. When Ryder spoke again it seemed like forever had passed. He appreciated it? She hadn't really done anything, and said so... "Oh I've not done much.A bit of encouragement, really, but I'm glad you feel like it helped you." Reaching out she took hold of his hand again and gave it a warm squeeze.
It was at times like these that Ryder regretted spending so much time in the libary this term. He squeezed her hand in reponse, and breathed in deeply and let it out. This was going to seem sudden to her, but he'd been wanting to ask her for so long that it seemed along time coming to him. He turned slightly to face her, and smiled down at her. Taking another deep breath he thought that if he didn't do it now, he never would. "Sarah," he began, "would you like to be my girlfriend?" After it was out, he felt better, but a second later he wondered if he asked right.
