Jack felt himself smirk a little at the professor's comment...well, naturally, what else were they going to do but LEAVE? He gathered his things quickly, because drowning in style was really NOT what he had planned for the day. As he slung his bag on his shoulder, he heard the professor suggest that no one play hero--oh, he was definitely not going to do THAT.
Even if he had been thinking of risking his life for a younger student, he would have thought against it after looking at Truebridge's face. EEK! He meant business.
He scurried out of the classroom as the water starting soaking the bottom of his pants. ENOUGH WITH THE WATER ALREADY! he thought angrily. Jack had feared for his life more times this term than he could even count. It was getting exhausting!
