Daphne aimlessly wandered the first floor. All the professors had begun to stress the importance of NEWTs, and she was beginning to feel the pressure. To make things worse the Ravenclaw Common Room was packed with Hufflepuff students, making it difficult for the seventh year to spend time alone.

As she rounded the corner, she couldn't help but hear splashing with each step. Then her feet started feeling unusually cold, and she realized what was happening. "AAAAHHHH!" she shrieked, instinctively hopping onto a windowsill, pulling her legs close to her chest. She found herself oddly paralyzed and frightened by the water, leaving her confined to the area.
