Jack had been sitting along the floor of the first floor corridor, trying really hard to block out the conversations of the two people further along the hallway. He was trying to study Herbology, and while a normal, smart person would get up and move to a different location...he was too lazy today.
Just as he went to stand up, he accidentally bumped into someone who was walking by, obviously in some sort of hurry. And...was that a rain poncho he was carrying? That did seem to make sense--after all, the Great Hall was flooding, it was only a matter of time before it made it up here...
"Hey, the first floor isn't flooding too, is it?" he asked the guy in a rather hurried voice. Maybe he knew something he didn't know...maybe a classroom was flooding or something? And to think, he had been so STUPID as to sit on the FLOOR while the possibility of flooding was around.
