................"Never mind. I don't think I want to know."

Once their talk was on Plymouth, or Phillip, as Willow called him, Evolette giggled again. "I don't know WHY he does it." she said, "But he does! And it is awfully infectious." And she giggled again.

Noting the letter in Willow's hand, Evolette's blue eyes skimmed the back of it, as if she could actually read it. "How are your brothers, by the way?" she asked, wagging her eyebrows again.
Blink. Blink. BLINK.

What on earth was wrong with this girl? This uncontrollable giggling was just completely . . . well, Willow could just not find an exact word to describe it, but atrocious certainly came to her mind.

"No, I do not." Even if they came from Dominic, Willow honestly doubted she'd end up liking them. Not too much, at least. Really, what was the point of hugging someone? "He's fine, I suppose. I haven't seen much of him since that day."

And yes, Willow was just going to pretend she'd failed to hear Evolette's question about being engaged. ENGAGED. She was flipping seventeen years old, for crying out loud! Matrimony was the last thing on her mind. Besides, Dominic was not even her boyfriend. They were just . . . friends?

Hmm.

Frowning upon hearing Evolette's words, Willow's lips pursed in one thin line. "Perhaps you should stay away from this Patrick Morgan fellow for a while." Forever, though, sounded like a better plan, for having to deal with a ridiculously giggly Evolette for the rest of her life did not sound particularly pleasant.

"Nikola's gotten sick, apparently, the winter hasn't been too kind to him. Noah is . . . Noah." There was no other way to describe her nine year old brother, "Paul is busy, I expect, and Branimir lost one of his feet, but he's fine, I'm sure." She shrugged her shoulders lightly at her.
