Nodding, he then said "Protego!" as he flicked his wand towards the now burning fire. A shield protected the flames now and he looked up shrugging. "If we can't keep dry we can at least keep somewhat cool." He explained gravely as he stood back up.
He looked back at him, shocked now. "I don't want you getting hurt as well. I could try to project the shield to go around both of us, thus keeping us both protected but I'm not sure if that'll work." he said in a slightly apologetic voice. He nodded at Cordova though, waiting until he counted to three before muttering the shield charm again with force in his voice, "Protego!" the shield burst to life, covering him and blocking half the chain from hitting cordova. "Best I can do." He said, secretly wishing his mother was here with a hot cup of cocoa and a bowl of chicken soup. "Don't worry about me," he added focusing on the stoned chain. "I'm going to attempt to perform the spell downward so that if anything goes flying off it should rightfully go down and not towards either of us."
Unfortunately it was apparent that William was extremely cold. He had conjured a weak fire that couldn't really stay lit because of the climate that we were dealing with. "You should get some useless pieces of parchment, ball them up, put them in trash can, and then light them on fire. A bigger and stronger fire to keep you warm, and also you had the right idea about setting a protective jinx on your fire so it doesn't go out...easily."
"One, two three," he thought in his mind and whispered "Confringo," downward on a piece of the stone. It chipped barely still leaving the two partners attached. "Sorry I forgot to count outloud. I figured I wouldn't really try to use the spell or make it too strong. It's not worth it," he said smiling and stayed seated. "I'm not sure exactlty how to get this," he admitted looking around at the falling flakes and frozen puddles on the ground. Cordova was consumed by the thought of winter weather and Christmas holidays. He could no longer focus on trying to remove himself from his partner. In his mind, they're both boys, Ravenclaws, and smart which automatically made them compatable to withstand each other.
"Sorry", is all he could say at the moment. occ: I'm off but if you reply I might hop back on and continue going. I'm swamped ATM. |
