A New Member AT The Weasley Family
The days become much colder and sky greyer. Students in Hogwarts were all busy with their studies and quidditch. Yes, yet again it was quidditch ruling the minds of students. But now it was between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. After Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, there were other matches between Hufflepuff and Slytherins.
Away in London, Harry, Shaun and Rebecca were becoming close friends as the days passed on, especially Harry and Shaun. Apart from the fact that they both were raven headed and green eyed they had other things in common in them. They loved talking quidditch, with Shaun being a beater in his school, they both loved DADA and hated potions. Though Shaun had a wonderful teacher for potions and Snape like professor for DADA there was no one who could out do him in that subject except for his two best buddies during his school times.
It was on Saturday night and Shaun was invited by Mrs. Weasley for dinner after the difficult test that Harry and he gave in the morning. It was a week after they shifted to their apartment. Hermione helped Ron and Harry get settled and Angelina helped them in stacking their kitchen with sufficient food. Shaun accepted the invitation. It was his third visit to the Burrow. Like Ron, Molly and Arthur both liked Shaun. Almost everyday Ron, Harry and Shaun would be found during their breaks in front of Florence and Fortesce’s Parlor. Shaun though he seemed to be a very serious guy when Harry first met him the day he and Malfoy confronted each other but he was just different then what he looked. He had great cravings for sweets especially ice cream just like Ron.
“good evening Mrs. Weasley,” said Shaun as he entered the Burrow and met Molly first.
“good evening Shaun,” she said sweetly
“done with your shifting, kids?” she asked as they entered
“yeah, mum”
“Mrs. Weasley thanks for inviting me for the dinner”
“oh stop being so formal. You are Ron and Harry’s new friend,” she said
“Ron, Harry the dinner will be set up by half an hour,” she said and the three guys left the kitchen to let Molly, Fleur and Hermione work and sat down in the living room with Mr. Weasley, Bill and Victorie. Shaun had met Bill and Fleur quite sometimes while he would visit the Gringotts. Shaun didn’t know much about Victorie but Ron, being Ron had told everything about his small niece that Shaun new her almost very well.
“hey there Vicky,” called Ron and went towards Bill wriggling his fingers who was carrying Victorie. Victorie giggled and shied away from him
“aww…Vicky, you are breaking your uncle’s heart,” said Ron and she turned to him and gave a sweet toothless smile. She was just few months old.
“come on, come here,” he said with his hands out stretched and Bill faced his daughter, “go on Vicky, go to uncle Ron” she looked at him for sometime and leaned away from him towards Ron
“aaa…that’s like my girl,” said Ron holding her.
“sweet,” commented Shaun and Harry chuckled.
“Ron getting ready to be a father or something?” asked Shaun as they sat down.
“what! No its just that kids are so cute,” he said rubbing his nose on Victorie’s stomach and she giggled again and Shaun watched his friend amused. The men sat and talked about the way the Ministry has dealt with crisis and the changes that they are making after the war. Especially in the department of International Cooperation, the Auror department and the Gringotts bank many changes were brought about to avoid any sort of problem or misunderstandings between the magic world of two different nations and to bring about magical cooperation and a bond between them by trust and information, to step up the security for the witches and wizards residing in Britain and to deal with economic crisis and preserving the valuable heritages of the country. The young wizards talked on an on about the changes they think should be made. This made Mr. Weasley very proud of his son and his friends. “it was just like yesterday that I remember that I was scolding him for breaking his wand and stealing my car and here he is now discussing political issues along with his friends and his elder brother,” Arthur shook his head and smiled
“dad,” called Ron looking concerned with his one arm firmly comfortably holding his niece on his knee.
“you alright?”
“yeah, yeah,” said Arthur and got up to go to the kitchen.
The dinner was just the same with chatter filling up the room. Shaun would readily get involved in any kind of topic for discussion. Hermione looked at Shaun and then smiled and looked away and he frowned. He was sitting on the chair where Sara sat all the time she was there. Sara had become a really close friend of Hermione. Though she hardly spoke to her about her family or her friends back in her homeland, there was something about her that would make Hermione feel that she knows her just like how she knows Ginny but just not that much. Sara was a silent confidante.
the post will continue tomorrow too...it will start off from the Burrow itself...have a nice day:-)
