Helios had helped Kaz to the table, but felt nothing. His body was numb from exposure to the water. While he was ready to drag the professor to the castle, his body protested. How long had his knees been shaking? "Hold your composure. We can do this." Trying to reassure the others, Helios tried to hide his own fears. If the old man died, the curse that kept Krissy and himself apart would never be undone.
This was his chance to help, but he couldn't seem to grasp onto a towel, his hands were shaking so bad. He was still on his feet, but couldn't feel them. Soaked to the bone, the boy appeared to be in shock. "Wake up..wake up, old man..you are not allowed to die today..." Helios trembled beside the table, arms wrapped around himself for warmth. Everything was going to be ok, right?
