Anna studied the list for a moment, already mentally categorizing some of the organizations. She made a face as she read about the Headless Hunt. Ewww. Shrugging, she picked up her quill, dabbed it in ink, then got ready to write. She glanced over at the professor, who was talking with a Hufflepuff student. Professor Truebridge seemed...upset?...irritated?...not himself. Then again, she really couldn't blame him. This flood pretty much had everyone under the weather.

SPOILER!!: List
GOOD:
The Order of the Phoenix – This order was formed for the sole purpose of fighting on the side of “the good.” The members of this order kept a close watch on Voldemort and even assisted the great Harry Potter in defeating him.
Quidditch teams – What’s NOT good about Quidditch teams? They’re fun to watch and fun to be involved in. I also think they’ve the magical population a fun hobby or pastime.
Official Gobstones Club – The OGC pretty much falls within the same category as Quidditch. Gobstone matches are equally fun to watch and be involved in. Just as Quidditch, they give us a hobby or pastime to focus on.
Dumbledore's Army – This group was formed to back Albus Dumbledore and the beliefs he stood behind. It was formed during a time when the Ministry of Magic took over Hogwarts, and the students felt they were not receiving a proper education. I also think it’s important to note that the young formed this, so it gives youth an example of what they are capable of.
Most Extraordinary Society of Potioneers – I’ve chosen the field of Potions as a career after graduation, and I’ve heard that this organization can assist those working in that field. I do hope they can assist me in my future research.
The Order of Merlin – I think this organization is important, because it honors those who have done great things for us. It recognizes admirable people, and lets them know that their work was not overlooked.
Quidditch Union for the Administration and Betterment of the British League and its Endeavors – I think it’s important that the sport of Quidditch has an organization overseeing it. If Quidditch teams disagree on certain aspects of the game, this organization can step in and make a fair ruling. This organization can also implement guidelines that will make the game fair for all in case there are discrepencies.
Society for the Promotion of Elvish Welfare – I’ve seen the elves around this castle, and they’ve always been so kind and helpful towards everyone they meet. Not all elves may be that kind and helpful, but should all be demoted and looked down upon? Of course not! This organization helps to make sure elves are treated as fair as possible.
Society for the Support of Squibs – I can’t imagine what it must be like for a person to be a Squib. They are fully aware of the wonders of our magical world, yet they can’t participate in most of what we do. I think it would be a shame to have to sit back and watch while everyone around me performs all these cool spells and charms. I think a support group for squibs is a great idea to give them someone to talk to and someone to help them find their place within our world.
International Confederation of Wizards – I’m not too familiar with this group, but I do know that it focuses on bringing together wizards from a variety of different countries. I think that’s a good idea, so we can all learn to work together. We can also share ideas and give advice to foreign wizards. Oh, and they can share with us, as well…hopefully.
Dark Force Defense League – What better than a league defending people from dark forces? Besides that, Mr. Gilderoy Lockhart was a member. Have you SEEN his picture?
International Federation of Warlocks – A warlock is just an older wizard, right? So I guess this is sort of like their group to help them continue to find a place in the magical world despite their growing age? I think that’s pretty helpful.
The Wizarding Examinations Authority – Eww. I should put this in bad, you know? Aren’t these the people who are over our NEWT exams? Yup, bad, bad, bad. They do help make sure we know all we should know to be successful in our adult lives, so I suppose I can slide and let them remain in the good group.
Hufflepuff – My mother and I are both Gryffindors, and my father is a Slytherin. I have friends (and professors) in all four houses. I think each house serves its purpose, such as Ravenclaws being intelligent, Slytherins being ambitious, Gryffindors being brave, and Hufflepuffs being loyal. You’re always going to have some rotten apples in each bunch, but the entire house as a whole shouldn’t be punished for that.
Ravenclaw – See above

Gryffindor – See above
Society for the Reformation of Hags – Don’t Hags eat children? Yes, they do! This group attempts to reform, or change, the behavior of Hags, so maybe they can eventually save the lives of some poor, unfortunate children!
Society for Distressed Witches
– I almost placed this in the ‘Unsure’ category, but I suppose if someone needs help and is distressed, more power to them to have someone to turn to!

BAD:
Death Eaters – This group has a prejudice against anyone who isn’t pureblood, and there’s no good in that. Blood status has nothing to do with how good of a wizard or witch a person is, so their actions aren’t justified. Besides, they killed a whole lot people.
The Knights of Walpurgis – This was the old name for the “Death Eaters,” so see above.
Snatchers – These are kidnappers, and there’s never anything good about taking someone against their will!

NEUTRAL:
Troll Rights Movement – Right on, trolls! They’re big…they’re scary, but they do need to have their rights, just as we do. However, because of the fact that those rights do need to be controlled some, I placed this in the neutral category.
Wizengamot – I realize that the Wizengamot is our law-making body, but I’ve read that they’ve often time been unfair in their decisions. Poor Harry Potter was once nearly expelled from Hogwarts for defending himself and his cousin against dementors. I’ve heard that the Wizengamot pretty much refused to see his side of things, and that they sided with the Minister to try and expel him. I think they were just trying to keep him away from Hogwarts, since he was defying the Minister and saying Voldemort had returned! Law-makers are good, but not if they are going to get power-hungry!
Ministry of Magic – I think the whole ‘power hungry’ deal applies here, as well. My mother works for the Ministry of Magic, and she’s an amazing, intelligent woman, but there are others (such as that Cooper man) who let power go to their heads. I keep remembering that time Minister Cooper took us away from Hogwarts and refused to hear our pleas to go back. Once again, I think the Minsitry of Magic is a great organization, but not when power-hungry people are controlling it!
Inquisitorial Squad – This was the group formed against Dumbledore’s Army. I placed it in ‘Neutral’, because I felt that it was made up of innocent children who were possibly acting based on what they’d been told by their families or professors (like Umbridge). I think there may have also been some mislead people involved in it. On the other hand, they caused trouble for Dumbledore’s Army and followed a leader who wasn’t being a good leader at all.
Slug Club – I think this group was composed of some very nice, intelligent students (like Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ginny Weasley, for example), but at the same time, I don’t agree with giving certain students assistance or help and denying it or keeping it hidden from others.
Order of the Mark – For the most part, these five orders were good. Their intentions were good, and they set out to make sure good things happened (like getting Hogwarts back from Minister Cooper). However, like the Slug Club, these organizations are only limited to certain students, and it's open for a few people at a time. Perhaps they are missing out on some good ideas or suggestions by limiting membership.

Order of the Talon – See above
Order of the Stripe – See above

UNSURE:
Society for the Tolerance of Vampires – I agree with “equal rights” and the such, but Vampires aren’t exactly the type of creature you give more rights to. I’ve even heard that they seek out people who are allergic to garlic (since garlic wards away the blood-drinking vampires). While it all sounds good on the outside, giving vampires more rights can prove to be a mistake.
Campaign for Greater Freedom for Wizards – For me, this campaign all relies on what sorts of freedom these wizards want. We have laws and guidelines we must follow in order to ensure chaos doesn’t erupt. While freedom can be good, too much of a good thing can go bad.
The Headless Hunt – Okay, so my house’s ghost pretty much loves this thing, but there’s just something about the word ‘hunt’ that throws me off. I mean…a bunch of ghosts…without heads…out hunting for something? That’s just creepy!
International Task Force – I’m pretty sure I know what this is just from looking at the works in the title, but since I wasn’t 100% sure, I placed it here. A task is a job, though, so maybe this organization focuses on jobs and roles wizards from all countries have?
The Order of Air Voyagers for Intrepid Wizards – Erm, what is this? An organization for fearless air travelers? It sounds good, but seeing as I don’t know what it is or what type of people were in it, I think it should go in the unsure category.
The Medieval Assembly of European Wizards – Ermmm, I actually have no idea what this is. I tried looking up information in my textbook, but I only found a brief mention of it. I didn’t find enough information to have an opinion on it.
Brotherhood of Goblins - This group seems good in that it assists Goblins in having rights and freedoms, but I’m not too familiar with certain aspects of Goblins (such as how they react when given a wand), so I’m not sure how safe assisting the goblins would be.
