Because they can be. There's not much chance anybody else will want to see them. It's impossible to use every picture taken on each film. WB doesn't just release photos for the sake of it - they normally have to be for a reason, for publicity. That was over with 2 years ago so now we can see these since nobody else would want to buy them for publications.

No they are not. What you see, and what the studio have, are two very different things. There will literally be thousands per movie.
