William nodded, knowing it would be best to change the subject but the problem was he didn't know what to change it too. He closed his eyes, picturing in his mind a purple fairy with bright golden wings and dark mysterious black eyes. In his minds eye, the fairy was flying in front of him, flying close to his face before backing off and gesturing with its finger. William frowned; why would be be thinking about this now of all places?
Suddenly, in his minds eyes his surroundings changed to green lush grass and thick tree trunks, which were surrounding him completely, blocking his path from escaping. The fairy gestured to him again, this time moving off into the highest branch before a strange hypnotic sound pierced his ears. It was beautiful, like a song written by the loveliest of people, its voice mesmerizing to say the least. Without warning the scenery changed again to complete blackness, suffocating William as he tried to get a look at where he was. he could still hear the fairy but not see it.
Shaking now, William tried to open his eyes, this strange day dream no longer happy and fun. Instead it was creepy, just plain creepy. His breathing escalated until he was gasping for breath, wrenching his eyes open and staring at Jake, his heart hammering.
Weird.
"Have you ever seen a purple fairy with golden wings and black eyes?" He asked shakily, after he had gained the use of his lungs without wanting to faint.
