Several familiar voices reached Kiri as she sat at the edge of the Sanbox, figuring out what to do. They were talking about a cat... and (uh oh) one of them belonged to Professor Morgan! She looked up. Yes, there she was, talking to, Kiri saw with a happy jolt, Vanessa and Simone. The professor's relationship with Jake seemed to be a complicated one, but Kiri doubted very much that this was something she'd be very pleased with, maybe even more so than Gingersnapple's real owner.

Where had that cat ran off to? Jake wasn't around anymore either, at least not as far as Kiri could tell, but maybe she should... go and tell them that she had been there as well for a while? Not to mention that such an approach would also make sure she wouldn't be in trouble later if someone else said something along the lines of, "Oh, I saw Starstalker with the cat earlier." No, best not to let it come to that.
She got up, brushing some sand off her robes, and wandered over to the students standing with the professor.

"Hello, Professor Morgan," she said timidly when she'd reached them. "Hi Vanessa, Simone. I... er, sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but are you looking for Gingersnapple? It's just... he was here earlier!"
