Cassady walked out onto the grounds and found a quiet tree facing the lake. She sat her things down and pulled her latest book, How to get better at Postions, out of her bag. She didn't open it for a minute. She looked around at all of the other students out here. She recognized a few faces from her old school of Beauxbatons, but the rest were all strangers to her. She never much cared for strangers. Her best friend in the whole world had gotten sent to a school in the USA by her parents so Cassady was all alone here at Hogwarts. She felt alone and out of place. Hogwarts was certanly as beautiful as Beauxbatons. She had a feeling, though, that she would make a few new friends from Durmstrang and Hogwarts. She was just a little afraid right now.

Jacob walked out onto the grounds of Hogwarts. He was glad that he wasn't one of the kids from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons. I bet they feel pretty out of place here, he thought. He found a tree near the lake and took out his book, How to get better at Charms, and opened to where he had left off. Jacob had never been one for striking up a conversation. He liked solitude, it gave him time to think and get better at magic.
