Wowza!

Facial hair.

Riiiight.

Was Legend Chosen not aware that she was a seventeen year old Ravenclaw student? She was both older AND wiser! How could he think that she would buy his story of having facial hair? "Suuure, sure," in a patronizing tone her reply came. "Eleven year old kids don't usually have facial hair but, you know, I believe you." Not.

. . . This boy was trouble.

Biting her tongue so the pain of it could stop Willow from chuckling, the sixth year just stared at him, and then shot another look at Mr. Masterson. "You are one brave little thing," mused the girl under her breath, mostly to herself, "But I'm afraid that won't save you from getting detention for what's left of the term." Nope, nope. And from losing points, too, of course.

Good thing he was NOT in Ravenclaw.

"Legend, Legend," Tsked Willow at the boy, "We've been through this before, remember? You will like girls one day - in that way, at least." Obviously. Most kids started to when they were like thirteen or something like that. Right? Her brothers had, at least. "Probably in a couple of years. It's too bad I won't be around to tell you 'I told you so'" Truth. She'd be . . . off onto the real workd by then. Wow. "And thaaaanks. For the pretty comment, that is." Of course, Willow already knew that - she knew she was pretty, and of course, people -boys, stupid, stupid boys- had already pointed that out before, but it was always nice to hear it. Right? Right. "You'll probably be pretty one day, too." Probably. She gave the younger boy a quick but thorough look, before continuing, "Or handsome, I should say." Most boys disliked to be called pretty. Ridiculous.

Blinking a couple of times at Legend's statement, Willow, in spite of herself, chuckled. "That is a contradiction, you know? You can't just dislike someone you consider a friend." She shook her head, thinking that she knew NOW why the kid had not been sorted into Gryffindor, "Perhaps you find them annoying sometimes, yes, but I highly doubt you dislike them." Sitting up straighter as the boy confirmed her theory, Willow let out a little 'hmmm' sound, before commenting, "So you are Alexis' brother? Guess I'm not surprised. You do sort of look like her." Both of them had blonde hair and green eyes, after all. "And I've told you before that cooties come from boys; you might not have a problem with hygiene but the majority of the rest of the males do. The young ones, at least." That was very true - she had an 8 year old brother, after all.
