Which was why when someone ran into him he didn't have the foresight to use his feet to brace himself and went flying onto the ground. The worst part was he fell flat on his stomach in a puddle, luckily his script got away unscathed though.

Pushing himself up Reid's face spelled out death for the person who'd knocked into him. His jacket alone had cost thousands of dollars and was now ruined, add that to the fact that he was already in a foul mood and the person who had knocked him over would now rue the day they were born. Turning around Reid was getting ready to yell at the person when he recognised who they were and that they were crying.

His expression relaxed, turning kind and walking the few steps over to Rachel he knelt down next to her. "Hey don't cry, please don't cry?" he pleaded with her while unzipping his jacket. she must be freezing. I hope she doesn't get pneumonia. "And it's fine, no need to apologize." at the last part he carefully placed his jacket around her shoulders before looking down at the ground. Her ankle seemed to be at the wrong angle to her body, he was no doctor but even he could tell it looked wrong.
Rachel was crying. RACHEL was CRYING. She hadn't cried - properly cried - in YEARS. This was wrong; it was all wrong. This year was supposed to be stressful only in the school work area, not in the social area nor the physical area nor the heart area nor ANYWHERE ELSE.

That sent her off again, and she felt the tears running down her cheeks - the more she tried to stop, the more she continued. Her ankle was killing her and she felt like an absolute wreck. The poor guy... He must be absolutely soaked.

Wait - that voice... That voice only belonged to one person - a person whom Rachel had, out of sever stupidity, been avoiding for the last week and had been yearning for for at least six days out of the seven. "R-Reid?" she choked out in shock through her sobs, wiping away her tears so that she could see if it was really him. Well, technically she just wanted to make sure she wasn't hallucinating, since there was no way she could mistake that voice.

Blinking, she saw that she was now wrapped in something warm and slowly began to feel a little warmth seep back into her arms. Sobbing uncontrollably now that the shock of seeing Reid had worn off, she covered her face with her hands again, unwilling to let him see her like this. The fifth year tried to swallow her sobs, which seemed to be working and slowly tried to get up.

However, as soon as she tried to move her ankle, it sent even sharper pains up her leg and she involuntarily cried out in pain, then hissed and bit her bottom lip to prevent herself from doing it again. The tears began to flow yet again and she felt absolutely wretched. "I-I'm rrrreally s-s- sorry, Reid," she whispered in between sobs, then turned away from him and tried to calm herself down.
