Her head was still on his shoulder, so she didn't meet his eyes. She didn't even react when he held her wrists in a tight grip and spoke to her about forgetting about Chris. She just mumbled
Don't worry Marcus, I'm just fine... and then closed her eyes, tired. Her hand still in his, she relaxed a bit and took a deep breath. Surely this was way better than sitting alone at least. She smiled slightly, thankful for her friend's comfort.
