Once his mother had left, Fyo checked a scream of frustration. His room, he would set right. But Nova – he was going to paint hers black with SKULLS all over it, the first chance he got.

Forget it, he told himself. Be calm.

Calm. Yes. Sleep would do him some good. Wiping his brow – he was beginning to perspire, from all the anger and tension – Fyo walked over to his cupboard and threw its doors open, ready to get out a pair of pajamas.

Only to see that all the clothes he had left behind had been painted baby pink.
