Aschere strode down the corridor. She wasn't particularly used to walking gracefully, especially when she was agitated. She glanced briefly up at the wall and saw the figure on the tapestry wink at her and mime a little jig.
Aschere grinned, winking back. It would seem that the figures on the wall hadn't forgotten that term, some years back, that she had (rather uncharacteristically) danced through each and every corridor in Hogwarts, to win the Gryffindor Challenge. She had ended in the Great Hall with every painting in the building crowding in and dancing behind her.
She wondered with a start whether any of those in the lower floors had survived the flood by escaping higher up.
"Silly me, worrying about paintings," she muttered, distractedly, but her furrowed brow did not smooth out.
She continued pacing, without really thinking about where she would go next, she just needed to walk.
