A small frown line appeared between Tara's eyebrows, but otherwise her face remained implacable. "I care or I wouldn't have said anything," she replied impatiently, wondering not for the first time if Snape had to work at being unhappy all the time or if it came naturally. "I didn't mean to imply that your taking of the mark was noble and anything other than the Dark mistake it was. I do think, however, that someone who can face their mistakes head on and take the opportunity to fix them should be admired for their strength." She stepped back from him, feeling aggitated that he should so misunderstand her.
