Defense Against the Dark Arts class, lesson one.

Part Wild West action hero stuff, part magic - Fyo peered into the box full of holsters they had just been told to help themselves to, and wondered what kind to pick. He was not exactly fascinated by the wrist ones, but the hip holsters looked fun.

He might have been the hero of a Western type movie, the way he strapped it on, and stuffed his wand into it. Only, he was pretty sure them heroes did not have to deal with the feeling that their holsters would drag down their jeans.
