"I'm... fine..." he glanced back at her, giving her a halfway forced smile as she commented on needing her shoes. "Oh. Of course!"

Pulling out his wand, he pointed it towards the girls dormitory... "Accio Vanessa's shoes!" he called in a low, firm voice, hoping it would work and she didn't have too many shoes. Cause the last thing he needed was twelve dozen pairs of shoes smacking him upside the head. Hence his reluctance in summoning the books too . . . "How you holding up?" he turned and asked her suddenly.
