What was going on he thought, and why was the common room flooding. Shock crossed his face as he realized that the recent newspapers that he had been looking through were up in his dormitory. Uh oh. He took a seat, and waited to see what was going on.
Turning to Sarah while they waited he said, "sorry about just picking you up like that." He really didn't know what had come over him, but he really just wanted to get her out of there.
Holding Ryder's hand somehow made her feel safe, but she didn't know why.Walking into the Great Hall, wet robes slapping against her legs, she followed him to their table and sat down. There didn't appear to be as much ho ha as there was when the Slytherin's got flooded out of their common room.Does no-one care about us poor Huffies?!
Bending down Sarah removed her shoes and socks and moved them to one side. They were completely soaked through and her feet felt like blocks of ice, luckily Ryder had stepped in and helped her before the water got too high.A veritable knight in shining armour.
She turned to face him when he apologised.
"Oh don't be sorry,I'm grateful that you did," she replied, before looking down to hide the blush in her cheeks.
"I'm not a great fan of water and would probably have panicked, the water got high fast in the dungeons after all...." She looked back up and smiled at him.
She looked around to see if any of the Professor's were there to speak to.When she had talked to Dumont a few days earlier he'd said they had it under control, and she wanted to know what had gone wrong.
"I hope they tell us something soon," she continued, swinging her legs under the table in an effort to get the feeling back in them,
"I want to know where we're supposed to sleep!"
