Giving the animal another small scartch under its chin, Jake studied the animal carefully. How long until someone ratted him out about all this... had Bunbury even realised her cat was missing yet. Looking back up at Kiri, still covered in sand, Jake managed to block out everyone else's conversation.

"Professor Bunbury?" she repeated, out loud this time. "Ging...er...snapple is her cat?! What's she going to say if she sees him like that?" Another question presented itself to her in the throng of responses, modulated by shocked surprise. "Why did you turn him pink, anyway?"
"Yyyyyup," Jake confirmed, resting his arms loosely around his legs. How much had she seen at the feast? Well... he wasn't about to recount the tale. "She... did something that annoyed me. Silencing charm... and, well... she likes pink, maybe she won't mind."

That was right, that was why he'd wanted to come out here. He wanted a nice spot to do his bizness in and they had just reminded him. Perfect.
"Meeheheeherrrrroww," the cat gurgled, prancing away from Jake and Kiri with his tail held high. He paused in the middle of the sandbox and stared at the girl with a pail, debating taking a leak in the pail...but no, that would require great balancing skill that he didn't feel up to.
He just needed a slightly shady spot....maybe a corner...a-ha! There, by the boy who wasn't in the sandbox but felt a need to shout directions at the people who were. He would make a cover.
Pinkersnapple happily sashayed over toward Tino, his belly a-swaying in the wind(?). He planted his rather large kitty-bum in the corner of the sandbox and eyed the boy hungrily, deciding that he could be a snack after he used the litterbox. And then the cat proceeded to start digging out a little potty area, dig dig dig, a little sand here, a little sand flying there, possibly scattering some onto the Ravenclaw's shoes, hmm dee dum....
...
"Gingersnapple, nooooooo!" Jake cried out, jumping up from the sand and trying to decide whether he should back away or run forwards and grab the cat. As long as they all knew that the animal wasn't actually his. "Oh my days..." he groaned, stepping back and coming to a stand-still next to Kiri.
