"Yeah..." Melanie said persistently, shaking her head, and eying the blood again. Sure it hurt a teeny bit, but it would go away...nothing to worry about really. Just a cut...

"Nice to meet you." Melanie said, grinning. "I'm Melanie, Melanie Lockhart." she said politely, addressing both of the other girls.

Melanie frowned as the girl laughed at her. Bleh, she did not like being laughed at. Her sourness was replaced by glee though as the girl tugged some tissues from her bag (Wow, these people came prepared... Melanie really needed to think about carrying a bag or something...).

The second year Hufflepuff easily obliged this time, taking the tissue gratefully and pressing it against the wound to clot the blood and to eventually stop it's flow. "Thanks" she said gratefully, looking up at Lyra, before plopping down on a nearby bench so she didn't have to lean over as much.

Melanie looked over at Lyra's friend who looked a bit worried. Melanie gave her a soft smile that was meant to be reassuring, trying to calm her a bit. "I think It'll be fine...It's already starting to feel better." she tried again. the second part was a bit of lie buuuuut she wouldn't know. Melanie was only trying to make her feel better anyway... "What's your name?" she asked curiously, as the other girl hadn't introduced herself yet.
