Ahh, enough rivalry. Time to WORK.
Okay. Time to get busy with this.
Flip the pages, flip flip flip - ahh. Pythagorean Number System.
Hmm. She had never gotten THAT number before. Now, to find out what the book said.
She was inspirational? That looked uplifting. "Professor, does the work seem right so far?" Chewing a jelly slug in time with the click of her heels, Professor Shackleton made her way down to Karma's desk. She eyeballed her parchment and reported, "You're done your calculations quite well, Ms. Atkins. How about a jelly slug?" Macadrian quickly deposited one on her desk and headed toward Celandine. She began her calculations.
"Oooh..." Celandine read about her destiny number and blinked a few times, mentally trying to see it in relation to her life path number. "Professor? Can you double check my calculations?" Peering over Celandine's shoulder, her long blonde curls falling in front of her, Professor Shackleton explained, "Well, you've added all the numbers for each name correctly, but when you went to find the sum for your entire name you made a small error. Four plus five plus three equals 12, not 11. So your Destiny Number is actually three. Why don't you take a look at what the text offers for that number?" Quote:

Whoa.. now that was a lot of numbers. After checking over his calculations, Clifford was pretty sure that he'd done thim right. So now.. what did that mean exactly? Textbook time.
Creative? Joy? Gift with words? "Professor," the Head Boy spoke up, hand in the air. "My numbers all seem to say the same kinda thing! I mean, they all tell me I'm creative and stuff!" Wait, that must mean they're right.. right? He had no clue. Professor Shackleton hummed to herself as she walked toward Clifford's desk. While looking over his parchment, Macadrian commented, "Oops. It looks like you made one small error in calculating your last name. The C translates to a three, not a two. So it should add up to twenty-seven and reduce to nine. So, when you add all three names, your Destiny Number is actually a four, which means that you're going to leave your mark in life, a legacy if you will. Clearly you've already begun 'keeping order and decorum' by completing your prefect duties so well. This seems to suggest that we should expect great things from you, Mr. Carden. I'll be waiting to see what those things are." Flashing a warm encouraging smile, Macadrian departed for the next student. Quote:

... and then began to laugh at loud. "Line up boys and girls! Line up and receive your wisdom from Plymouth 4 Glenn 7 Morgan 5! I'm going to teach the world!" Plymouth was probably being a little loud for class... but seriously... he was EXCITED and though the number 7 sounded more like Copernicus than Plymouth - Plymouth thought he had a thing or two to teach the world.
"Professor Shack? I think your numbers are telling me I'm going to be the Headmaster one day. Just so you know. And when that happens - I'm going to give you raise!" "Headmaster? Wow. Maybe I should retire soon..." Professor Shackleton joked with a wink and added as an afterthought, "And I wouldn't say no to a raise! Quote:

Well, that was dramatic. That long name is really taking Daniel's mathematical abilities to the test. He was glad he had finished it readily. He then flipped the pages of the textbook and looked for the meaning of his Destiny Path.
Daniel smiled so happily. He raised his hand, "Professor, the numbers are telling me that one day I may be a healer or a teacher or an artist." he scratches his chin and continued, "I can be a Professor here at Hogwarts and then writes a book." he said without wiping the grin from his face. "Dear, be sure to read the explanation from the proper chapter on the Expression/Destiny Number. And as you mentioned, healing and helping others certainly does seem to be your destiny!" Quote:

Now her Destiny Number was 5...or was it? Nancy bit her lip as she looked back up at the result she'd gotten for her last name. 11 was one of those Master Numbers now, right? Was she still supposed to reduce it to 2 like she had done? Tentatively raising her hand Nancy said, "Uhm...Professor Shackleton...I think my Destiny Number is 5, I'm not sure though. What if I got a Master Number up there when I calculated the number for my last name? Am I supposed to reduce it anyway?"
While Nancy waited for the professor to answer her question she flipped through her textbook in search for the meaning of the Destiny Number 5. Professor Shackleton confirmed, "Yes, you reduce it anyway in order to find your Destiny Number, but you should certainly note the presence of the Master Number in your last name because that relates to the characteristics you've inherited from your family. Of course, we covered that last term so there is no need for us to go over it again now in depth."
Convinced that the students were adequately familiar with the Destiny Number, Shackleton pushed the lesson forward. "OK, everyone. One last note about the Destiny Number before we move on... There is no such thing as a bad number. All of the numbers will lead to success and point the way to your purpose in life. So don't be wishing you had somebody else's number - yours is perfect for you. It takes us many many years to become aware of how this Destiny Number fits us. When we don't like a number, it's often because we're working on the negative aspects of the number and don't like that part of ourselves. But hang in there! There's a lot to learn from these numbers.
"Alright, now the Soul Number. What it is and how do we calculate it?"
