Hesitating for a couple of seconds, Jake stretched out his hand and shook Simone's hand. Scared to make any other real movements, not even to bite his lip, Jake sat stock still for a moment, wondering what to say. Soon the time would approach where he had stayed silent for long enough to make it seem like he wasn't planning on answering, and that just wouldn't do. "Likewise," he ended up blurting out, looking back down at Vincent.

"Well when he wants me to know he's hungry, he usually nips me on the ear." She said. Jake had been around often enough to know that she wasn't joking. Thankfully Vincent's tiny beak didn't hurt TOO bad.
Staying quiet this time, Jake rested his head back and studied Professor Morgan's face carefully. It might have felt odd for her, because he was kind of staring... butall he was doing, was... well...
He wasn't sure. Jake rarely looked at people's faces.
But soon, a whole bunch of people had entered the hut, which was Jake's cue to leave ASAP. "Errrrr..." he muttered, holding out a finger for Vincent to hop onto, before holding the creature out to the woman before him. "I should go..." he explained, looking around the room as if to explain that this was the real reason, though he was saying, "Gotta write to people..."
