Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent
After her first shouted direction to Juliette had gone without incident, Mariel was somewhat thankful that several other housemates began helping the young girl too. And for some unknown reason, the third year sorta just stood there and watched as the younger girl got closer and closer to the other side (yay for house unity!) - until she heard Bunbury frantically shout towards a couple other students to get going. Which probably meant Mariel should too.
Snapping out of her daze, the third year turned in the direction of the professor to see her wrestling a piece of parchment out of a boy's grasp. A boy playing with... a pile of shoes? A frown appeared on the girl's face as her green eyes did their best to scan the mound of footwear from where she stood. Merlin help him if he has my black patent mary janes!
But of course she was in the middle of the pond with no way to reach them just yet. So with a fiercely determined look on her face, Mariel's eyes swept the length of the pond looking for a suitable lily pad to step on. The one in front of her wasn't too far away, but she still had a long way to go to get to the other side of the pond. Crouching down somewhat to retain her balance, the 14 year old stretched out her right leg to step on the leaf and threw the rest of her weight forward, successfully landing on the lily pad. Now where?
