Sarah did a mental salute to Bunbury,who seemed more interested in getting at the piece of parchment she'd seen fly in.What was on that that she so desperately didn't want anyone to see?
Trying hard to keep her balance,Sarah once more stretched her foot out in an effort to reach the next pad.Unfortunately it was just to far away,meaning she would have to grab it and move it nearer using her hand.Kneeling down on the now wobbly pad she put her hand out and managed to claw at the edge of the other one,bringing it closer to the one she was on.
Finally with her arms out to the sides to steady herself,Sarah stepped onto the next lily pad.The fact she'd made it without falling would naturally,in any other circumstances,be cause for a victory jig.Not today.She had another 2 pads to get across before she made dry land,and she was determind to do it.
