She murmured assuringly, dark eyes that scanned over the corridor ground lifted to meet soft, blue orbs of the slightly older boy. Katie was confident while saying so, and of course sweet. Always a hint of that, unless she was around one of the 'troublesome terror trio' boys. Hearing another voice, startled, the eleven year old looked around swiftly but saw no one except the two of them. The sound of chuckling caused her to turn, facing the wall, realization struck. It was a portrait man talking to another, of which she had yet to see up til now. "Will! Think a portrait might have seen your hat?" She asked, growing excited as she took the second years hand in her own and pulled him over, closer to the portrait that caught her attention in the first place. His eyes were drawn to the stone floor as they climbed up and down the stairs. He had to admit Katie had tenacity not giving up like he would have done minutes ago. He thought he had seen it on the second floor where they had passed that weird looking statue but apparently it was a pink candy wrapper. So much for gibing his hopes up he thought as he followed her towards the first floor down a dark corridor. This place had possibilities he mused glancing around as he walked behind her, his blue orbs drifting over the ground once more.
He smiled at her, unsure now weither they really would find it or not. He still felt pretty weird looking for a hat but he needed it so here he was. A voice whispered to him behind his shoulder and he jumped whirling around to see nothing but the wall. Frowning he turned back got look at Katie before he heard a chuckling noise. Quirking an eyebrow he frowned at Katie about to ask her what was going on before she answered his questions for him. He nodded once more, this time his eyes were brighter as he gazed at the portrait, eying it closer. It appeared to be a man talking to another and before he could walk over to it she had grabbed his hand and pulled him over.
"Perhaps. I heard the people in the portraits would visit other portraits so yeah." He replied his voice sounding hollow in the corridor.
