He lent against the wall and took a deep breath. "She was being her usual annoying self and goading me every chance she could get and well I took the bait didn't I." Looking up at her, he gave her an apologetic look. "I'm sorry I dragged your name into something that has absolutely nothing to do with you. It doesn't excuse it but I don't know what else to say."
