For some reason, even though he knew that SHE was the one who should be embarrassed right now, he felt really embarrassed and awkward too. As long as she didn't tell Cale he had walked in on her letter writing--Cale was a much more muscular bloke than him, and he was pretty sure he would kill him.

Flooded dungeons? HA. That had definitely NOT been what he had heard a few seconds ago. "Oh, yeah, right--sad about that, isn't it?" he asked. He thought about all the Slytherins he seemed to have met since term started, and how unfortunate it was that they didn't have a place to sleep anymore. Well, they DID, but it wasn't THEIR dorm. He knew that he personally would feel weird if he couldn't sleep in his own bed for Merlin knew how long.

The thoughts about the Slytherins suddenly made him recall his conversation with Reese earlier in the week, and he had the sudden urge to ask Anna about it. That sentence she had uttered to him had been haunting his thoughts constantly since then, and he STILL wasn't sure what to make of it. Maybe Anna would know what to do when he explained it to her?

"I erm...actually, I need your advice on something," he explained, sitting down next to her, taking special care to avoid looking at her letter in the process. He didn't need to read any more than he had already heard.
Anna let out a short, low giggle when she saw Jack blink. Of course her letter had thrown him off a bit. Or...a lot. He was oh-so-innocent, and she knew it. Which was, of course, why she'd decided to read part of her letter aloud. Ohh, it was fun, fun, fun being evil to boys! Jack was especially a fun person to be evil to. He was so clueless in an adorable sort of way. Anna had always this urge to pull him under her wings and make it her goal to help him find his place in this crazy, mized up world. Honestly, though, Anna had to hand it to the kid. He'd actually been doing quite well for himself lately. Yup, Jack Fritzera might be moving on up in the world!

As the silence set in, Anna absentmindedly picked up her quill and doodled a few hearts on her letter to Cale. Jack must be thinking pretty hard on what to say. When he finally started talking, Anna glanced up with a "hmm...?" Oh, he wanted her advice, huh? "My advice? Let's see, Jack... Yes, the Earth is round. No, aliens don't exist. Copernicus is the one who discovered the Sun was the center of the universe, and erm, once every two hundred years Pluto enters the orbit of Neptune," she sprouted out. Bwah haha. Now she was being just plain mean to him.

"I'm only kidding, Jack. What is it you need advice on?" she asked, wondering how someone with interests so opposite her's could benefit from her advice. "Academic assistance? Social help? Oh, I know! You've finally decided to have a loooooove life!" Mwah haha! This was going to be a fun conversation indeed! She'd have to let him know, later on, how she'd only been joking when she'd said all the things that had just left her mouth. After all, she was just doing it in good fun, since Jack's personality just lent itself to the situation.
