Jane blinked. No one has ever done that, no one other that William, but he was dead to everyone around her. He even seemed dead to her...sometimes. She tried to answer him, but she lacked that part of the gift Christian had. She smiled and took a bite from the really hot potato in front of her. It was really hot and she was trying to keep the food down and thinking about what Christian said at the same time. She was malfunctioning!!!
