"Wow--thanks little guy," Jack said, picking up the ring and dropping it in their bag. So their niffler had found a ring and a butterbeer cap--that was all fine and dandy, but they weren't getting any COINS! "Good job buddy," he said, patting him on the head as the niffler ran off again. Maybe a bit more positive reinforcement was what the niffler needed to get some REAL treasure.
Sure enough, seconds after he ran off, Saturn started digging again, making a rather big hole this time. Finally, he came back to Reese and Jack and dropped a coin at Reese's feet, and a coin at Jack's. WOOOO! Finally, some success! "Great job Saturn!" he cried in delight. His obvious excitement was easily picked up by the keen little niffler, who started running in excited circles around Reese's feet.
Reese watched as Saturn started off, again. Okay, their niffler was doing a really good job. She watched as Saturn started digging, again. "Come on Saturn!" She called out, hoping that would cheer the little fellow up. She smiled when the niffler started heading back towards her and Jack, carrying something in it's mouth. She couldn't make out what he found until Saturn dropped a coin near her foot and own near Jack's foot. "Wonderful job," she told the niffler and watched as it ran around her feet. Hehe.
She picked up her coin and handed it to Jack, since he was the one holding the bag now. When she turned back to Saturn, the little niffler had already set off searching for more treasure. She watched closely as Saturn sniffed around a bit, then started to dig. Yay! The niffler stopped digging, then headed back over to her and Jack. Saturn dropped 3 coins between her and Jack.
Saturn must be on a roll since it ran off after dropping the coins between her and Jack. It went back to the area it found the coins and started digging again. It didn't take long until Saturn was heading back to her and Jack, carrying more coins in it's mouth. It stopped when it reached them, dropped the coins on the ground. "Good job," she told Saturn, smiling. She petted the little niffler and looked up at Jack. "We sure did pick a good little niffler, didn't we?" She added.
