The professor collected the students' things and grinned. "I know, guys. It's hard to part with them." She felt strange herself, not wearing her pendant. "But class won't last for long and then you'll have them right back." She eyed Evangeline curiously as she handed over her ring. "I'll take good care of it, I promise." "Okay class let's begin." She said, sitting on the ground and resting the niffler on her lap. "For today's lesson we're going to be learning about - and handling - Nifflers." She pet the niffler's furry body as she spoke scratching him gently behind the ears. "Now class, I would like each of you to tell me one thing you know about these creatures. Just raise your hand and call your answers out."
Raising her hand, Rachel thought for a moment before replying.
"Well,they are strongly attracted to anything shiny, and even though they are affectionate creatures they might be hard to handle when there's something of interest to them in the vicinity. That's why they are really good for treasure hunting - I heard goblins keep them for that very purpose," she said, grinning at the thought of the goblins being nice to the nifflers.
The goblins have pets... There's an odd thought.
