Dominic really was contemplating leaving now, but first he must discover which is the cupboard he was meant to be searching for the Headmaster. Really though, even if he could have sworn Paris gave him a weak smile and inclined her head respectfully towards him, he did not care for seeing her once the towel was removed. Not that he would have paid attention, but he preferred to keep his eyes shielded from such pains.

Well Kaika was very brave indeed to be able to get so close to her and risk her innocence for saving Paris. The Hufflepuff Prefect severely doubted he had her kind of courage and had to give his captain some credit. Even if she was looking at him and Willow all weird like. Biting his lower lip, he wondered exactly what Paris might have done to her towel that it was strangling her as such. But good thing Willow had the sense, if not the bravery to do it herself, of suggesting a spell to counter it - if the towel was indeed cursed. Though if that didn't work, then he supposed the next option would have to be the Hospital Wing because surely the nurses there could handle a cursed towel.

"Perhaps a levitation charm to get her to the Hospital Wing, if that doesn't work," the sixth year suggested, waiting with anticipation for Kaika to try it.

But gratefully, his co-prefect spoke to him to distract him from having to watch Kaika perform the spell, and therefore risk his eyes being scarred for life. Noticing her hesitancy as well in speaking, Dominic wondered what was really bothering her but decided that now was not the time to ask. Though, why did she look at Willow after him and then back to him? Willow was not an idiot; surely she would catch on that Vanessa had spread the rumors of the kiss to his house with the way the girl was looking between the pair.

Looking over towards Rachel at hearing her speak, Dominic sighed and realized he felt slightly sorry for her. She was so nice and yet seemed to have been caught in the middle of the battlefield. And now she was torn with her willingness to help and be Prefect, but also her look was mingled with fear and unsureness. Ah yes, there was a reason Rachel was in Ravenclaw. Hearing her comment about the cupboards and about the Headmaster coming out to lend a hand, he couldn't help but give a brief nod of agreement, before something dawned on him.

"What if, the Professor can't come out though?" he countered. "If the Headmaster was really present in a cupboard then I doubt he would be there of his own will. So perhaps he was locked up in there or cursed..." It was plausible and made sense too. In his brief contacts he had with Headmaster Bontecou in years past, Dom had noticed the wizard had a tendency for being . . . absent-minded and easily distractable. If there was something in the cupboard that could distract Bontecou, then Dominic was nearly certain he would not try to find a way out even if the castle was on fire.

And then a voice broke Dominic out from his revelations regarding what could be keeping Bontecou from whatever dangers were lurking in the castle that needed his assistance. Hmm, what? She did not have a fling with the shopkeeper? But it sure looked like it. Though she was right on another account too - it was none of his business. Jealous? No! Why would he have been that? It was nothing. Right? Granted he had gotten a little jealous, but he understood now that he really shouldn't have, especially since he also understood that the shopkeeper had merely been demonstrating something to him. Meant no harm, yet he took it personally. "I..." For once, Dominic Denton was entirely speechless. Only for a moment though. "But then, you really were not jealous over Eleanor, were you? I only did that because I thought..." His words were in a low urgent whisper, forgetting completely that others were present. "... Nevermind."

Watching Willow as she had decided to not check on Paris and her towel dilemma - something he did not blame her for because he had no interest either in it - he frowned though when her green eyes seemed to flicker between himself and Vanessa. It was times like this that he wished he could read her mind, but the way her eyes narrowed, he was sure it was something about him.

"We need to talk," was all Dominic said to the Ravenclaw Captain, as if hinting they should leave the Bathroom now and head someplace more private to converse. But first he had to wait to see about this headmaster situation, and so his eyes flickered back towards Vindictus (as he remembered his presence) and waited to see why they were looking in the cupboard for the headmaster.
