"There's nobody here." Ethan repeated a bit obstinately, even if there was a tinge of doubt colouring his words. It was a trial trying to decide whether to doubt himself or to doubt his
former mentor.
He subtly flicked his wand again, another few degrees of warmth for Kazimeriz. Not that he was trying to
help him or anything, it was just that if the old man got sick and keeled over, everyone would think it was Ethan's fault.
