Luckily there was more pressure in there than out of there, so when it came open, it merely sent Cari flying backwards a not inconsiderable distance.

Ethan carefully pulled Cari to her feet, a gentle grip on her arm until she had her footing again, then he sloshed into the chamber, immediately spotting the unconcious child.

"Cari?" He looked at her to deal with that and glanced around the room. Right. How to get out. Portkey. He had a license to make emergency portkeys... that would work. Needed something to charm though.

"We'll move you to the owlery, don't think that your detentions are over simply because of a little... okay, a lot of water. What are your names?" Ethan pulled his sunglasses out of his pocket, eyeing them. Yeah, they'd do for a portkey. "I'm going to create a portkey to get you out of here, but you must do exactly as I tell you. Have either of you travelled by portkey before?" He dodged as a flurry of little creatures headed toward him and Cari, pulling her out of the way and glancing behind him as the imps disappeared, presumably to look for dry land. One thing he owed to Kazimeriz, was all the training that had gotten him such good reflexes.

Snort.

He turned back to the detainees, expectantly.
