The sudden activity startled Jake, and the small noise seemed magnified after the quietness of the classroom. "ACK!" he yelped, jumping away from the windows and ending up on the floor.

"Just... getting my stuff," Jake groaned, reaching out for his back to get his parchment, some ink and a quil.
