"I surmised that you wish to speak with me, Miss Wright-- otherwise you would not be here. There is never a good time for you to waste my time with idle chit-chat. So... What is it you wish to speak about?" Kazimeriz snapped impatiently as he picked up his quill and jotted a quick note on a parchment. If she was going to hem and haw, at least he could take care of some correspondance.

He had noticed that the air in the room had a damp chill that the fire couldn't touch, and he noticed that the walls themselves seemed a little damp- the edges of his books kept mildewing despite his best protection charms and it seemed as though the wood paneling had slightly buckled and warped behind some of the books... not enough to be noticeable to anyone else, but he knew his office space well and some of the books just didn't fit as squarely on the shelves as they used to. Strange.

He wrote quick notes to invite Reynard and Ashby to tea; perhaps the headmaster or the charms professor would have a suggestion for a good charm to make the dungeon space more habitable for an old man's achy, arthritic bones. The cold, damp dungeon air made his joints ache as badly as they did when it was raining.
