Unforgivably Cursed | adultescent
Walking through the grounds on her way back to the castle after signing up for Quidditch tryouts, Mariel's footsteps slowed as she drew near the CoMC teacher's hut, noticing the building next to it. Instantly reminded of Felix, the Jarvey she took care of last term, her feet subconciously started to lead her in that direction.
Once in front of the entrance, the third year stood in the doorway for a moment before tentatively stepping inside. She wasn't sure why she was feeling somewhat apprehensive. Maybe she was afraid Felix wouldn't remember her after being absent the past few months. Whatever it was, Mariel decided to push that thought or feeling to the back of her mind and proceed forward.
Green eyes scanned the rows of cages until they fell upon a familiar cage. Walking closer, she allowed a small smile to grace her lips as she noticed the name on the sign attatched to the cage. Mariel slowly opened the door and placed her hand inside, allowing the Jarvey to cautiously sniff her hand. Felix appeared to recognize her scent as he then looked up at her in anticipation.
Ignoring the string of insults tumbling from his mouth, the Ravenclaw girl gently picked up the Jarvey and cradled him in her arms. It was a beautiful, late summer day and she thought Felix could benefit from running about the play area. Oh, and he still had the rubber ball she left with him last year, Mariel noticed as she glanced in the cage and drew it out with her free hand.
Walking outside with Jarvey in hand, Mariel found her way to the enclosed play area. Setting Felix down in the grass, she set herself down beside him and tossed his ball for him to chase after.
